It seemed like I was shivering the second I stepped off my bus. As a Georgia girl, I wasn't that used to the cold, and it showed; it was only about sixty degrees, but it had me pulling on a light sweater immediately. I gave a little dry smile at my own softness, shifted my heavy one-shoulder bag into a more convenient position, and padded lightly into my High school - a place that already felt like a second home, even if I'd only been attending for two months. My bright gaze scanned the few students who were milling around the cafeteria and awaiting the first walking bell, but they didn't land on the girl I was looking for. I reached the customary meeting spot, leaned on a pillar, and crossed my arms. It seemed I was early this morning; she'd probably be here soon.

As I got off the bus, I just went into my usual routine. That's how I liked things normal and routined, as if everything around would always stay in a perfect routine. I walked into the school noticing that the first sign of difference was that I was either here later than usual or others were earlier because Jessica was here before I was. I had the feeling inside telling me things were going to be different than usual and it wasn't a typical feeling. It was the kind that warned me today I'd have to be extra careful. As always though I put those feelings to the side and went on with my life. I walked over to Jessica wearing my typical cheerful smile. "Hey, Jessie." I said and the feeling inside was over powering now. I looked up and saw a strange boy. "Uh...who is that?" I asked softly.

"Who?" I asked, following her gaze. I was characterized by being highly unobservant - I never payed any attention to the people around me unless they were quite noticeable - but as my eyes met with the guy Jamie was talking about, my mouth dropped open, because he was definitely noticeable. I stared for a minute, then looked away before he could notice me. "You know what's insane?" I said softly. "He looks just the way I pictured Lucian. I didn't think there was anyone who looked quite like him in existence, certainly not here of all places." I crossed my arms and sighed. "Jamie, I may need to take a break from that site. My addiction is becoming a mental concern."

"Uh..If you're having mental problems I might be as well 'cause he does fit him..." I said as I still watched the boy carefully. I had the sudden urge to call him over to us. It wasn't a typicall thing I'd do since I'm incredibly shy, so I grabbed Jessica and pulled her over with me to the tall boy standing off to the side. "Excuse me...?" I said softly trying not to make a fool out of myself.

"Uh... no," I muttered, trying to back up. I was seriously about the most shy girl there was. I didn't like to walk up to anyone, much less a smoking hot bad boy type who was definitely a senior. I was prepared to slip away, but it was too late. He smirked as he caught my eye, and raised an eyebrow towards Jamie. "Yes?" His voice was neutral, even cold. Like Lucian's, I thought, and resisted the urge to pound myself on the forehead.

"Hi, I know this might sound strange, but have we met before? You seem familiar. I'm afraid that it could lead to me being insane if you either are or are not who I think you are....What's your name?" I asked trying not to sound even more insane than I felt.

"Well, I doubt we've met." He leaned back and crossed his arms, tilting his head slightly to one side. Geez, I thought. It can't be Lucian... but it's got to be a carbon-copy. I shook my head. And I've got to stop being so obsessed with my fictional werwolf... Then he added lightly, with a slight characteristic smirk, "But my name is Lucian Markus. Ring any bells?"

My eyes went wide automatically. "Uh, yeah! You have the same name as a fictional character my friend here created! You look exactly like him too. Please don't tell me you know a girl named Crystal Wright..." I said hoping this was either just a big coincidence or a dream, because otherwise I was going insane.

His eyes narrowed, clearly trying to make sense of the undoubtedly confusing situation. "I do," he said cautiously. My mouth felt dry. "Sorina Lettiere?" "Yes..." I buried my face in my hands. "Jamie. We're going insane."

"I say we are, eiuther that or this is a dream. Crystal's my character and Sorina's another of her's along with Lacey, Rose, your mother, Luna, Liana, etc. she created all of them. While only Crystal, Vivian, and Alex are creations of mine. An internet friend created Solana and any one close to her. The rest are either my cousin's or our friend Crista's. For example, your brother and Sorina's sister are both Crista's. While my cousin Alena created people like Fate, Thomas, Matt, and Marcus. We all control Amenia and my friend here created the whole place. Oh and keep in mind Crystal is based off of me...You and Sorina are based off of Jessica here." I said giggling. "Wow I really feel insane now. Not that my head hasn't always been messed up, because it has, but I've at least felt somewhat sane..." I said sighing. "By the way are you the only one here or are Sorina and Crystal here as well?" I asked curiously.

Lucian's eyes narrowed. "You two are insane," he declared in the usual calm, neutral voice. I rolled my eyes, less intimidated by him now that I knew who he was. "We probably are. It's probably some screwed-up dream that I'll laugh about with Jamie, Crista, and maybe Lena tomorrow," I muttered. "Either that or I belong in the nuthouse." Lucian raised an eyebrow. "If all of us really come from your imagination, you probably do," he said dryly. "And I haven't seen Princess or Sunny, but Sorina does tend to avoid me when she can - " "I know," I muttered without thinking. "- and who knows where Crystal spends most of her time." He shrugged.

"School, the mall, any where she can be free and not be alone. The last place she'd want to be is home, and of course you wouldn't see her wandering around the woods unless it's necessary. So yeah I do..." I said everything that came to my mind so after a few moments of silence I just smiled.

"And Sorina will probably be at class or dealing with schoolwork, because for some reason even though she's almost died about twenty times, she's still obsessed with passing school. Or talking to her normal human friends and avoiding you, as you said." I couldn't help smirking, even though the expression somehow didn't look right on my face. "See? We know them. Mainly because they're kind of the fictional incarnations of us." I frowned. "Well, supposed to be fictional." "Uh-huh..." Lucian's eyes narrowed skeptically. "So you're saying every aspect of my life, and everyone I know, is controlled by a couple of High school freshman?" "Kind of." I grinned a little.

"Two are eighth graders, but they are very smart and are the same age as us. For freshman we are very good at writing are we not?" I asked and the spied a blonde haired girl, wearing a preppy outfit and appeared to be two years older than me. Her facial appearence was relatively close to mine. "If I know my character well enough I'd say that's Crystal..." I said softly. Lucian caught her eye and she smiled and walked towards us.

"So two freshman and two middle-schoolers. Terrific," Lucian muttered under his breath, and then spoke louder as Crystal drew near. "Hey, Princess," he said calmly. "Apparently we've been transported to a nuthouse." I rolled my eyes and glanced at Jamie. "I'll let you handle this... seeing as she is your character."
