{Crystal}
I wanted my friends and I to go on vacation together. I told Isabella and Alex about it and they were packing. I didn’t tell Sorina and Lucian though. I was packing Sorina’s and my bags. I finally packed the bags fully before she got home. I quickly called Lucian. Once he picked up I said, “Pack your bags and get your butt over here.” I immediately hung up once I said that. I wouldn’t let him argue. I plopped down on the couch and waited for everyone to be here.
{Lucian}
I slipped in only moments later, one average-sized bag in hand. “Yes?”
{Crystal}
I smiled. “We’re going on vacation to Florida. Panama City Beach, Florida, to be exact,” I said softly.
{Lucian}
I raised both eyebrows. “We’re doing… what, exactly?”
{Crystal}
“We’re going on VACATION. Ever heard of it? We’re going to the beach and we’ll swim and relax. We deserve some time away from this place and with the money my parents ‘left me’ I can definitely afford to take me, you, Sorina, Alex, and Isabella,” I said with a giggle.
{Lucian}
“Life insurance?” I raised my eyebrows. “Convenient.”
{Crystal}
“Yes it is,” I giggled. Isabella came from out of her room with her suitcases. “All packed,” she said with a smile. Alex then came with his bags. All we needed now was Sorina…
{Lucian}
The door opened and shut downstairs, and I glanced up as Sunny slipped up the stairs. “Welcome back,” I said dryly. She raised an eyebrow at me, and then glanced at Crystal. “What’s going on?” she asked automatically.
{Crystal}
“We’re all going on vacation to Florida,” I said with a smile.
{Sorina}
“Are we, now?” I muttered.
{Crystal}
“Yes, won’t it be fun? We can keep away from this town for awhile,” I said softly.
{Sorina}
I tilted my head. “Blow this town? Hell yes.”
{Crystal}
I giggled. “Thought so,” I giggled softly. “We all ready?” I asked. Alex and Isabella replied with a simultaneous, “Yes.”
{Sorina}
“Yep.” I grinned.
“Whatever,” Lucian muttered.
{Crystal}
I shook my head. I had rented a van for us to take. “Alex and Lucian, could you please help me get this luggage in the van?” I asked. Alex smiled and nodded. He took his and Izzie’s bags out to the van and loaded them up. I grabbed mine and loaded them up as well.
{Sorina}
I raised an eyebrow. “You do know I’m not… you… packed for me, didn’t you?”
{Crystal}
“Of course I did. Lucian, could you get Sorina’s and your bags?” I asked softly.
{Lucian}
I rolled my eyes. “Sure, principessa.”
{Crystal}
I smiled. “Thank you,” I said softly.
{Lucian}
I raised an eyebrow at her and slipped back in the house, returning moments later with the bags in hand. “Here.”
{Crystal}
I raised an eyebrow. “Um… Aren’t you gonna go put them in the trunk for me?” I asked slowly.
{Lucian}
I tilted my head. “You told me to get them.” A taunting smile pulled at my lips.
{Crystal}
“I told you first to help me put them in the van!” I laughed.
{Lucian}
“Did you, now?” I glanced at the van, then back at the bags. “Hmm.”
{Crystal}
“Yes!” I cried.
{Lucian}
I laughed and shook my head. “Okay, okay. Don’t get upset.”
{Crystal}
“So are you going to put them in the van?” I asked.
{Lucian}
I tipped my head. “Maybe.”
{Crystal}
“Please!” I sobbed.
{Lucian}
“Oh, hey…” I tipped up her chin gently. “Princess, don’t cry.”
{Crystal}
“I’m not…” I murmured softly.
{Lucian}
“Not yet,” I murmured.
{Crystal}
“Please, I just want everything to be good and peaceful and happy for everyone… No upsetting or stressful moments,” I said softly.
{Lucian}
“All right, then.” I kissed her lightly on the forehead, and then took the bags to the car. It took only a second to load them, and then I turned, smirking widely. “Ready, principessa?”
{Crystal}
“Okay, who wants to drive? I’ll be the navigator,” I giggled.
{Lucian}
“I think we know the answer to that question,” I said calmly.
{Crystal}
“I was fairly sure,” I said and handed him the keys. “We’ll probably get there in one day maybe even as few as four to six hours with you driving,” I said with a smirk.
{Lucian}
I smirked. “Less.”
{Crystal}
“Okay then,” I giggled. We all walked out to the car and got in. I had all the money needed and the maps. I was ready to go. I quickly fastened my seatbelt before he could take off.
{Lucian}
I laughed softly. “You’d best follow here example,” I murmured, to Alex and Isabella more than Sunny, before slamming on the gas pedal.
{Crystal}
They quickly put on their seat belts and that began our ride all the way to Florida. It was of course not your average family car ride. Once we finally go to our condo I smiled at the size of the house I put in our key number and we got in. We all unpacked in our rooms and everything. We had two bedrooms. One with a king size bed for Isabella and Alex and the other with two for me, Lucian, and Sorina. I wasn’t sure yet who was sharing a bed. I smiled from the happiness and peacefulness. “Oh and the best thing is that we are right on the beach. We just go out the back door and there it is,” I announced to everyone. “If you don’t feel like going to the ocean we of course have two big pools and a hot tub for the community,” I said with a smile. “So who wants to go to the beach?” I asked.
{Sorina}
“Absolutely!” I grinned widely. “Allow me to change.”
{Crystal}
I nodded. “Of course we’ll come,” Alex said with a smile. I turned to Lucian. “Are you staying here all by yourself?” I asked him.
{Lucian}
I rolled my eyes. “Why would I do that?”
{Crystal}
“I don’t know,” I said with a shrug. “You just never answered…” I murmured softly. I then smiled and left to go change. I came back in a cute bikini but the bottom was a skirt. I smiled. I put on sunscreen and waited for everyone else to get ready. When Alex and Izzy were done they were giggling and cuddling together on the couch. I smiled softly at them and then looked away to give them privacy as I waited for everyone else to be ready.
{Sorina}
I slipped out calmly, keeping a light blue cover-up over the two-piece bathing suit of a darker shade. “Ready,” I stated calmly.
{Crystal}
I knocked on the bathroom door I knew Lucian was in. “Lucian? Are you almost done?” I asked.
{Lucian}
I pulled it open and raised an eyebrow at her. “Yes, Princess. I’m ready.”
{Crystal}
“Good,” I giggled. I looked at him seeing his muscles and his six pack. “You look great,” I said with a bright smile.
{Lucian}
I shook my head. “Thanks,” I said dryly.
{Crystal}
I giggled. I walked into the living room. “Okay everyone’s ready,” I said with a smile and Alex and Isabella headed out to the beach I went over to the table and discretely took off my engagement ring. I then began to walk on, making it as if I did nothing.
{Lucian}
I raised an eyebrow and caught up to her easily. “What was that about?” I asked softly.
{Crystal}
“Oh I just didn’t want to lose it or get it wet,” I lied softly.
{Sorina}
Watching him raise an eyebrow and slip off, I quickened my pace until I reached her side. “That’s… not the reason, is it?”
{Crystal}
“No…” I said softly. I knew I couldn’t lie to her but I didn’t want Lucian to know the real reason mainly.
:-}
{Sorina}
I raised an eyebrow. “So why did you?”
{Crystal}
“In all honesty and truth the reason I did it is in case I wanna flirt… It’s not that I’m not all loyal to Thomas but I mean he’s never around… You know that right?” I asked softly, kind of feeling bad about it.
{Sorina}
I touched her arm gently. “I understand, Crystal,” I said softly. “Flirting never hurt anyone, anyways.”
{Crystal}
“And what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him either,” I said softly with a soft smile.
{Sorina}
“Precisely.” I frowned. “He won’t read your mind, will he?”
{Crystal}
“I don’t know… I hope not… I’ll keep my thoughts silent,” I said and then blocked my mind instantly. I didn’t want him knowing.
{Sorina}
I nodded quietly. “You’re not picking a new boyfriend. You’re not cheating on him. Any girl that looks like you should be able to flirt.”
{Crystal}
I gave her a smile. “You’re a great friend, Sorina,” I said sweetly.
{Sorina}
“You are, too,” I said seriously.
{Crystal}
I smiled. “Let’s go to the beach now,” I said with a smile.
{Sorina}
I nodded. “Lucian’s probably wondering about us.”
{Crystal}
“Yeah,” I said softly. I walked with her out to the beach. When we got closer to the water I saw a bunch of pretty shells in the water. I picked a few and saw a pretty purplish pink shell. I squealed from delight and went to grab it. I felt a sharp pain and cried out for help. “Ow!” I screamed and ran straight into the water. The crab finally let go of me but I slipped and fell. The tide began to pull me in and I fought and tried to keep it from pulling me under. I coughed and fought as it pulled me in. Water filled my lungs as I sunk to the bottom. Everything slowly became dark until finally the darkness pulled in. I faded into unconsciousness.
{Lucian}
I felt, as always, her danger as an instinctive feeling. Glancing over in the general direction she had been, it didn’t take long to see the slight movement of the water that betrayed a riptide, very close to where she had been. I didn’t hesitate to dive under, keeping my eyes open under the water – supernatural vision allowed me to spot her almost immediately. I lifted her off the ocean floor and into my arms before swimming up to the surface, and then I walked most of the way out and lay her out on the beach. “Princess?” I said softly, shaking her lightly as I heard Sunny’s footsteps approaching behind me.
{Alex}
“Crystal!” I cried and ran over. “Is she okay? Is she breathing?” I asked in a panicked tone.
{Lucian}
I pressed two fingers lightly to her neck, and then shook my head. “She’s not,” I said softly, most of me refusing – irritatingly enough – to panic. “Anyone know CPR?”
