Name: Lydia Markus
Gender: Female
Species: Vampire
Age: Fifteen
Family/relationships:
Sorina Lettiere (mother)
Lucian Markus (father)
Cole Markus (brother)
Lyra Collins (half-sister)
Personality:
Lydia takes after her mother big time – in fact, she could be said to be a carbon copy of her, even though she inherited more of her looks from her father. This means that, just like Sorina, you can describe her either upon first impression or after you really get to know her. On first impression, she’s every boy’s dream in a girl and every girl’s dream in a friend. She’s sweet and friendly, and just seems to get along with everyone, whether the same species as her in not. Whatever may have been predetermined about vampires, Lydia fits right in despite her species – she even admits it openly. It has no effect at all on her popularity.
However, despite her popularity, Lydia chooses her closest friends very particularly. The ones she selects are the ones who know what she’s really like; her real personality drives them crazy sometimes. To say the very least, she’s stubborn – more so than either her mother or father were, which is extreme. If she’s doing something, she’s doing something – you can stop her. Stubbornness aside, Lydia is, in general, a strong person. She has an inner flame that burns constantly, shining through no matter what happens to her. She always seems to be in a good mood, only a few things can shake her out of it. One of them is messing with her family – if you ever hurt Lydia’s family, especially her brother, you’d better be prepared to fight off massive revenge.
Appearance:
Lydia’s looks somehow seem to be a perfect blend of her two parents. She got Lucian’s hair; it’s dark brown and very long, usually stopping midway down her back. It’s the dark, perfect brown of a roasted chestnut, with waves all the way through it. She has her mother’s delicate figure as well, although when it comes down to it in a fight – with a human, at least – Lydia can hold her own extremely well . Her skin is creamy pale and contrasts perfectly with her dark hair.
But somehow it’s her eyes that really set her apart. They’re the same color and shade as her mother’s – a fresh green that reminds those who look at it of the newness and simplicity of spring – and they always glow with an inner strength or fire, or reflect deep thoughts. Yet somehow they’re different on her. They’re much brighter – practically lumiscent, some people get the impression that they glow in the dark – and more intense. People who gaze into Lydia’s eyes for more than a moment or too have the feeling that they’re being lost – not in the good way. And when she’s trying to pry something out of you, they seem to stare straight into your soul.
