Name:
Lilly
Gender:
Female
Species:
Witch
Age:
Sixteen
Relatives/family:
Unknown
Personality:
Upon first impression, Lilly appears friendly, even normal. At times it’s even hard to detect that she’s a werewolf, rather than a human, since that’s what she spent her life as up until recently. She’s generally agreeable, although she can also be kind of prickly, especially towards anyone who tries to pry at her. She has some secrets from her past that she prefers to keep hidden, and she can become extremely defensive when asked to divulge them. Beyond any illusion of normalcy she may give off, her mind is a dark labyrinth.
Whether due to her past or natural Amenian paranoia – most likely both – Lilly has a very difficult time trusting people. Although she rarely works alone to accomplish anything, she has very few if any friends – mainly allies. She’s very closed-off as an individual, and very cynical and sarcastic; she has a sharp retort for nearly any situation. She’s definitely a survivor, and if she can’t talk her way out of a situation, she can certainly fight her way. She’s very clever, quick-witted, and at times she can also be very manipulative.
Appearance:
A first impression of Lilly might be of softness but, like many people born and raised in this town, her strength lies just beyond the surface. She has medium-length, light, dusky brown hair that she very rarely bothers to do anything with other than to throw back in a brisk ponytail. Her eyes could be considered hazel, often alternating between green, brown, and the occasional steely gray. Her lightly tanned skin is criss-crossed with battle scars, most of which she conceals under long clothing. She has an average height and frame, but also some wiry muscle that’s hard to detect at first.
History:
Lilly grew up relatively normally, with two parents and a younger brother – having a complete family alone made her pretty fortunate, and although as a child growing up in demon-infested Amenia her life could never be good, it was never terribly bad either. She was a pretty happy-go-lucky child – at least until she was ten. At that tender age, she returned home from school one day to find four or five vampires in her house. It was the events that happened after that that scarred her forever – two grabbed her, held her down, and forced her to watch as her parents and her brother were slaughtered in front of her. She blacked out, fully expecting to be killed, but she woke up the next day alone, the vampires gone, the only evidence that they had ever been there the blood on the floor.
Ten-year-old Lilly set her entire house to flames and fled the place. She ran until she reached a separate part of town with an abandoned house, and moved herself in there. She raised herself for the next six years, developing into a very tough girl. Although living alone at such a tender age with underdeveloped powers pretty much made you free bait in the area, she fought off those who attacked her with such ferocity that after awhile they left her alone.
Eventually, after almost being killed by an assailant she never identified so much as even the species of, she nursed herself back to health and, in desperation for a normal life, enrolled in the nearby high school. She’s always remained a bit distant, but many people do, and most people don’t bother her.
