{Kalista} I stood silently next to the wall, my eyes locked on the entrance to the school. Jace's presence beside me was, as always, comforting, his hand resting lightly on my shoulder. He could always sense exactly how I felt, and now was no different, hence him shadowing me today. I had no idea what to expect, would Sorina be there? Amalia? Lucian or David, or Crystal? I had absolutly no idea what had happened in those 16 years we'd been gone, and the fear of someone being dead was near unbearable. Most of all, I wondered about my children. Last time I'd seen them, they were only 1 and 3. Their names and images in my mind had truly been the only thing that kept me sane, kapt me fighting that whole time. I swallowed as the students began pouring out. Some parents were there too, of course. If I had any chance of seeing my friends and kids, this would be the time and place to do so.
{Amalia} I darted out into the fresh air, glad to be leaving the stuffy halls of the highschool. I always hung around the school whenever I had the chance. It was comforting to be here. Maybe it was because it was the last place I had seen Jace and Kalista, and I clung to the hope that they might return. I scanned the scene out of habit, My breath catching in my throat as my eyes met that familiar aqua gaze. They stood against the wall, ghostlike in their stillness, the shadows hiding most of their form, Jace like a too-large shadow to Kalista's small frame. Their faces were blank and impassive, eyes guarded. Kalista's gaze was locked with mine, making me stop dead. They didn't move, they were like two hallucinations. I was afraid that if I even blinked, they would vanish. So, I stood statue still, hardly daring to even breathe. I had never thought they'd come back. Never even dared to hope. Even when Sorina returned from the dead a few months ago, I never dared to hope that they would pop up too. I opened my mouth as if to speak, but as my lips parted, I stopped. So there I stood, looking like a big dummy with my mouth half open, my eyes wide, perfectly still on the fringes of a crowd of highschoolers. I wondered, vaguely if Sorina, or Lucian, or Crystal, or even one of the kids would come up and snap me out of my embarressing state, because I simply couldn't move on my own.

{Lydia} Rarely, I actually walked out of the school building with my brother today. I wasn't sure why - it wasn't like he was any less irritating than always - but I stuck beside him today, studying his face carefully. I saw the instant his deep blue eyes locked on something in particular. I froze. That couldn't be good... "What?" I asked, slowly following his gaze until mine met with the still werewolf as well. He smirked. "Well, this looks interesting," he muttered, stepping forward. I caught his arm. "Leave it," I muttered. He rolled his eyes. "Come on, little sister." "No." "I'm going with or without you," he said calmly, raising an eyebrow. I sighed, muttered, "At least let me do it," and padded up to her, touching her arm lightly. "Um... are you okay?"

"They're back. But they can't be....I must be hallucinating." I didn't move my eyes from the two figures as I spoke, and stayed perfectly still. Sorina came back, but they can't have!"

{Lydia} Sorina. Again with that. My mother... I hadn't even spoken to her since I found out who she was, only that one short conversation in the alleyway that sparked my interest. I shook my head and decided to do one of the things I was best at, and feign ignorance. No need for her to know yet that I was the daughter of someone she had known. "What are you talking about?" I asked softly.

{Kalista} Sighing heavily, I started forward as I realized the Amalia must be freaking out. "Lia? You okay?" I waved a hand in front of her face. "Where's Athena, Alice, and Nick? Sorina, Lucian and Crystal?" Amalia stayed silent. "Okay, is anyone in there or did you lose your voice?" I was beginning to get annoyed and my blue eyes sparkled.
{Amalia} "Ghosts. You must be ghosts." I murmured, then turned to Lydia. "Are you seeing what I'm seeing?"

{Cole} I raised my eyebrows. "I do."
{Lydia} I glanced at Kalista, raising one eyebrow. "Lucian is our father. We never know where he is, really. Sorina's our mother, but we haven't seen her since I talked to her in some back alleyway a couple of weeks ago... until then, we grew up thinking she was dead. Crystal was gone for awhile, she just moved back. I suppose I could tell you where her house is. The other three, I don't know about," I said, speaking quietly and calmly the whole time.

{Kalista} "Thank you, girl with a scary resemblance to Sorina." I rolled my eyes. "Sorins will find me once she hears I'm back.....at least I'm 99% sure...." I shrugged and tapped Amalia on the head. "And as for you, where are my kids? And by the way, we're not ghosts. Just stick around Jace here for a few minutes and you'll see what I mean. "The house." Amalia replied, still staring at us with wide eyes. "And yes, you are ghosts." I rolled my eyes. "Trust me, I'm not a ghost. Though if things had gotten any worse, Mr. Soulmate-whom I want to strangle, would be." I turned to Lydia and Cole, annoyed with Amalia. "So, who are you two, other than the children of Lucian and Su- Sorina." I corrected myself quickly. Dang, I had changed, only Lucian called Sorina Sunny, and she'd probably hate me if I did as well. "Sunshine, you don't want to kill me." Jace sighed. "Yes, I do." I replied tersely, still focused on Lydia and Cole.

{Lydia} I shrugged. "Well, suffice to say that he is the obnoxious brother who likes to get into stupid fights, and Iam the responsible sister. "Responsible little sister," Cole chuckled. I glared fiercely at him. "Responsible twin sister." "Whatever."

"Well, aren't you two the spitting images of your parents." I smirked, something I'd come to think of as my natural expression in the past few years. "So, Sorina died and came back...." I mused, then shook my head, a wry grin curving my features. "I'm going to go home....." Amalia murmured, backing away, then breaking into a full out run. Jace grimaced. "I suppose I should go with her....meet you at the house." And with that, he was gone. I stared after them, then looked back at the two teenagers. "I have my doubts about the fact that those two actually surviving a place like this, considering how they act....I'm fairly sure you two have experienced only the half of what really happens here. I still don't even know what might happen next." I grinned darkly, pulling my hair into a ponytail.

{Lydia} Cole shrugged. "We've seen things that would surprise you." "You have." I rolled my eyes, although I'd seen some things too. Nothing in comparison to many people here, I knew. Compared to a lot of people, my life was downright sunny, despite having grown up with no mother. Even having my father made me lucky.

"I'm sure you have." I replied, smirking slightly. "Can you tell me If Crystal has kids?"

{Cole} I shrugged. "Two. Roxie - Roxanne, I mean - and Venus."

I nodded, narrowing my eyes thoughtfully, then giving them a dry smile. "You two must think I'm crazy. Popping up out of nowhere and pelting you with questions." As I spoke, I realized, not for the first time, how dark, tense, and generally hostile I'd become. It had been ages since I'd actually smiled, even a cold, dry one. Not to mention how my muscles were automatically ready to spring into action at the slightest bit of danger. I had to actually make a conscious effort at attempting to force my muscles to relax. Frowning slightly, I gave up, and spoke again. "Could you, by chance, be able to take me to Crystal, since you don't know where your father is?"

{Lydia} I narrowed my eyes. "Why?" I asked carefully. From what I knew, there were a lot of people who had tried to hunt down Crystal in the past, and very few of them turned out well.
