{Cassie} I started to say no, took one long at the fire in my sister's eyes (this one metaphorical, thank God) and slowly sighed. Might as well, I responded quietly.

{Liz} I nodded. "Fine, come on, let's go to my house so I can show you the book and so we won't be overheard." I turned and briskly led them in the direction of our house, about a mile away. I unlocked the door and slipped inside, heading into the 'library' and grabbing the old, worn leather book. I brought it into the living room and opened it to the proper page. "The book of prophecies. Whenever a new one is created, it ends up in this book. There are only about half a dozen of them left. I found our prophecy the day you found out your gifts, Tati Basically, we are four witches with a large amount of power" I looked at Cassie, letting her have a chance at explaining.

{Cassie} I sighed softly. "The prophecy is quite vague on what our exact significance is - prophecies nearly always are, but there's something we have to work together to defeat. Something more than the typical Amenian dangers, which makes it an enormous threat."

{Tati} "If this is all so important, why keep it a secret? Why block our powers with rings?" I demanded, crossing my arms. The fact that we were so powerful was left me both in awe and fear of the extent of our magic, of my magic. Yet somehow....it also comforted me, made me more confident. The sheer strength of our powers was mind boggling, and I was itching to learn their extent, to learn the limits and perfect each skill.
{Liz} "It was, and more than likely still is, too dangerous. You two are two scatter brained and rash, you have no comprehension of this. The little sliver of understanding you have is a single drop of water in the sea. Not to mention the fact that your control level over your powers leaves much to be desired. You, in yourself, are a walking catastrophe waiting to happen." I looked them both, my gaze sharp.
{Tati} "How does that justify what you did? How are we supposed to learn control if we aren't given practice? What if we had to fight the great impending evil today? Because of your shelter, we'd probably all die because of Amber and I being so inexperienced!" I hated that my sister was right, even if only partially. We were dangerous, I could feel the near-overwhelming strength of my magic coursing through me, burning through my veins. But we were only this way because our sisters had made it so.

{Amber}"I'm pretty sure," I pitched in, my eyes narrowing into slits, "That you would be capable of teaching us instead of limiting us. I mean, this will happen one way or another. It's prophecy!" I realized with a start that for once, I sounded different than my normal high-spirited and scatterbrained self. I sounded almost as mature as Cassie.

{Liz} I started to say no, then stopped myself. I studied them carefully, the feirce, firey determination was unmistakable in both of their eyes. I couldn't hear their thoughts, I never could read Tatiana's mind, unless she wanted me to, and I found it was the same with all of the other prophecies witches. "Fine." {Tati} I grinned. "Thank you. How's about we start now?"

{Amber} I smirked. "Sounds great! Where to?" I asked brightly.

{Liz} I sighed deeply. "The clearing you two already started to destroy." Tati had aloe to know that much at least.
{Tati} I grinned, looking at Amber and winking as Liz led us out rather grudgingly to the clearing. When we arrived, Sapphire swooped down. That pest has been staring at me this whole time! She complained. She's not a pest, she's Amber's dæmon, and you deserve her staring at you. I replied shortly, turning to Cassie and Liz. "What first?"

{Cassie} I shrugged. "First... you show us what you can already do." I glanced inquiringly at Amber, who was stuck in a staredown with her daemon. I knew enough to be able to tell when they were deep in argument. "Amber!" I called, snapping my fingers. She looked up abruptly. "What? Huh?" I sighed. "Show us what you can do."
{Amber} I grinned. "With pleasure." I summoned flames to my hand with ease, then turned my palms outward and sent them both hurtling at a nearby stump. It erupted into flames immediately. "How's that?" "Good," she muttered grudgingly - which, from Cassie, was compliment. I beamed and she sighed and turned to Tati. "And you?"

{Tati} "All right." I grinned, lifting a boulder off the ground, then flinging it. Of course, as my luck would have it, it smashed into the smae tree I'd hit before. Now, I hadn't healed the tree, so the rock smashed the rest of the way through the trunk. I cleared my throat as the tree, which had only been ten or so feet off the ground, began to topple over. Flinging my hands forward, palms up, I shot vines over, which wrapped around the tree, holding it upright while I fixed the damage. I looked over at Amber, then Cassie. "Well..." I shrugged, a wry smile twisting my lips.

{Amber} "I think it was awesome," I piped up, and got a smoldering glare from Cassie. "Well, it was." She sighed and turned to Liz. "What do you think?"

I grinned at Amber. "You were great too." I compimrnted her cheerfully. I was about to say something else, but Liz cut me off.
{Liz} "They both have skill" I admitted. "Though precision and care could use some work." I glanced pointedly at Tati, then continued. "Amber, you've got great control, and fine precision, Tati, you can work on your precision, but you have nice control and reflexes." I praised. Tatiana grinned triumphantly at Amber.

{Amber} "Control? I thought control was what I lacked..." Fire flared abruptly on my palm, and I almost yelped. "See?"

"Scratch that then, you both need to work on control." I corrected quickly.
{Tati} I laughed. *So, how do we do that?" Liz pursed her lips. "First, lets work on controlling where your detruction goes. It'll help with controlling it normally. So, you each get one baby tree. You have to only destroy that tree." I nodded. "Okay." I grew two trees, about ten feet away form each other.. "Amber, yours is on the right." I summoned my power and lifted a roc, trying to hold it steadily in the direction of the tree trunk so I could aim.

{Amber} I grinned and threw out my right hand. Instantly, a larger tree nearby erupted into flames. I heard Cassie sigh as she quenched it quickly. "Try again," she muttered. I nodded and turned to face my tree. This time, however, something seemed to happen. I didn't throw blindly; instead, I felt a strange sort of calm overtake me. My mind sharpened into a focus unknown to me, and I closed my eyes to hone it at as I slowly held out my hand, palm forward. I tuned out everything, becoming aware of nothing but my own steady heartbeat. Then I opened my eyes, focused on the bush, and without anything flying from my hand like usual or any sign of provocation, my tree burst spontaneously into flame. My eyes flew wide as I slipped back into my normal mind frame. "Holy crap," I whispered, awe-struck by my own abilities.
