"Pretty please?" I pleaded, going with the sweet, innocent act. He was nt fooled. Shame.
"No."
"With cherries on top?"
"I really don't care for cherries. Apples however...." He spun an orb on his fingertips. "And your answer is still no, by the way."
"Fine then, with a big fat apple on top instead, happy now?" I snapped, getting impatient. I glared daggers at his profile.
"Mmm, tempting, but no." He smirked, still fiddling with the orb.
"Did you suddenly get some morales or something? Because you have horrible timing." I crossed my arms.
"Nah, I don't think I'll ever get morales. I just decided to take some time off, get a break. I've earned it." He finally looked up, his green gaze meeting my hazel one.
"You are such a jerk." He merely grinned.
"Not always."
"Oh really?" I glared fiercely at him, my eyes flickering.
"Yep, try me on any day that doesn't end in y." He replied cooly, unaffected by my rage.
"Enjoy your break then, butthead." I gave up trying to talk him into helping, I already knew it wouldn't work. Whipping around on my heel, I stormed out the door, slamming it so hard the wall shook. I heard several satisfying crashes and loud cursing. It served him right, the bastard.

I came back to my senses, wrapped in someone's arms, voices murmuring around me. I didn't open my eyes, and I was completely disorientated. Slowly, the memories came back.
I summoned up my power, feeling its warmth spreading through me like a flame. My hands glowed a faint golden colour, and with a smirk I focused my energy on the building all around me, ignoring the blood that pooled at my feet. I didn't care that I was going to die, better like this than in some boring way. I always had loved dramatics. Suddenly a voice called from the hall. It sounded muted and distorted, so I couldn't quite tell who it was.
"I'd get the he'll away from here if I were you. Unless of course, you want to die." I warned rather cheerfully, feeling the energy building up inside of me until I felt as though I were going to burst. With a sigh, I realeased the energy, golden lightning-like bolts shooting from my hands, completely draining me of the last of my energy, but more than completing it's job. As I blacked out, I faintly heard the explosion, sensing the violent tremors wracking through the earth, flames flickering across my skin. My life burning out like a candel flame.
"Idiot. Stupid, stupid idiot." I recognized his voice, taught with pain, his warm, comforting aura wrapping around me like a blanket.
"Jerk." I croaked, opening my eyes and glaring at him. His and hair were scorched, rain was pouring, the remnants of my explosive destruction around us. "You're also a bastard, and I butthead, and about a million other things. But frankly, I'm a bit groggy at the moment, coming back to life isn't much fun."
Cosmo grinned wryly at me. "I guess I deserved that."
"That you did, Cossy." I smirked weakly.
"Though that was pretty dumb, Angel. You scared the hell out of me."
"Eh, what can I say? I'm a little devil. Actually, death was nice. Wish I could go back...." I spoke rather wistfully.
Before I could fully comprehend what had happened, Cosmo was kissing me fiercely. He lifted his head, only to kiss my forehead. "Don't you ever say that, Luna. Don't you ever even think of dying on me again." He stroked my hair gently.
For a few moments, I simply stared at him in shock. Cosmo actually had feelings? And for me no less? I swallowed, smiling slightly. "Okay. As long as you promise me the same." I replied.
"Deal, Angel." He leaned down, kissing me softly, and as I wrapped my arms around his neck, enveloped in his warm scent and comforting aura, I believed, for the first time, that everything would be okay.
"No."
