"Shadow," Dawn called from the third floor of the old fire-department. The place had been empty for at-least four hundred years. Dawn started to call his name again. She checked her phone. It read Dawn meet me at old fire department 7:30, your beloved Shadow. Right there in black and white, and no Shadow around. Shad...A hand reached for Dawn, holding her against nothing, Dawn stuggled to move, but was frozen. Magic she thought. A flash of light...and the world turned black.
Shadow felt funny. All alone he felt. Darkness was creeping in, as the light slowly faded away. His love was gone and he knew it, for he had never felt this way. He just knew that Dawn was at the old fire department, for he had also gotten a text from Dawn saying to meet him at 8:00. Moving faster than he had ever moved before he sped to the side of his beloved. There on the ground she laid, dead. He face masked in pain and fear. Never once had he seen her wear this face. He longed to be with her, where ever she was right now. As if his thoughts had been read, Angel once good, stood glowing a brilliant gold. Her hair was streaked with black and gold. She lashed out, with magic slamming him against the wall, where a second silver piece lay. Straight through the heart, with her name and face on his mind. He died. Angel, also going with him. For she was secretly in love with him, and if she couldn't have her then no one could. This left Jezebel. To live a life of her lost sister.

{Sorina} "Damn it, Dawn..." I muttered, shaking my head. I made my way slowly towards a bad section of town - bad even by Amenia's standards - roaming the streets in search of my missing sister. It was dark, and you just didn't stay out after dark here, even if you were as capable of a vampire as Dawn. The sun sank a little furthur, the temperature dropped a few more degrees, and I shivered and sped up my walk. I wanted to call her name, but I didn't dare risk that at this point. My footsteps slowed only a little as I approached an old firehouse - an odd thing to have here, since I doubted we had ever had law or safety, but the place represented a bastion for me. I had hid in here many times when I was very young, and after moving in with Dawn, it was one of our favorite places. It was full of memories. It was also full of... an odd smell. I wrinkled my nose in distaste and slowed a little. I slowly pulled open the old, creaking doors. And then my breath caught in my throat. If I'd had a heartbeat, it would have stopped. "Dawn..." I whispered. "Oh, God, Dawn..." I wanted to run over and try to shake her awake, but I knew better. I had grown up here; I knew what death was. I sank slowly to my knees, my breath coming out in hoarse, ragged gasps. Dawn, my sister. Shadow, one of my dearest friends... I should have been crying, but the grief was too much for that. I just took in gasping, broken sobs, remaining on my knees there in the dirt and the broken cement until I felt warm arms around me. "Sunny?" A familiar voice asked, and then strong arms shook me. "Sunny." I didn't look up. I heard the sound of numbers dialing, then he said softly, "Princess? We have a bit of a problem..."

"What is it?" I asked Lucian. Then I thought about that. It didn't really matter. Something was going on. "Or better yet where are you?" I asked him softly, slipping on my coat.

{Lucian} "Old fire station." Sunny's broken gasps/sobs increased. "Better hurry." I flipped the phone shut.

I quickly opened the door and headed down the street. I finally made it to the firehouse. I got inside and froze immediately. "Oh my God..." I gasped. Tears streamed down my face quickly. I knew this had to be very hard on Sorina. I sat down beside them and cried softly as I tried to help comfort Sorina. "I'm so sorry, Sorina..." I cried softly.

"Sunny." I shook her gently, but she just stared straight ahead, numb with grief. Catatonic, as she had been when I first met her... "Sunny," I said again, more frantically. I still got no response. Out of desperation, I slapped her - not hard, but enough that she blinked, and recognition flooded back into her eyes. She stared at me in silence for a moment, then she dissolved into endless torrents of tears. She sobbed endlessly against my chest, her body shaking and jerking violently.

"I'm so sorry, Sorina... I know how close you were..." I cried softly. I hugged her tightly as well, trying to help calm her.

"She was my sister," I whispered miserably. "Not my blood - only since we were ten - but what does that matter? God, she was one of the very few people I could trust..." I sobbed into my soulmate's chest again. "Sunny..." he whispered softly. His voice had an oddly soothing tone.

I could only feel bad for her. I knew how hard it had to be for her. "I wish I could tell you I understand, but I've had no siblings to lose... I'm really so very sorry..." I cried softly. "She was my friend too though. It hurts me too..." I said softly as I cried.

I shook my head. "And Shadow..." I said softly, and Lucian's grip tightened a little. Of course he cared that his little brother was dead - it didn't matter how much he had pretended to hate him. He was silent for a long time, then finally said softly, "None of them deserved to die this way."

"They didn't deserve to die period..." I whispered softly. Tears continued to flow quickly down my cheeks. I knew everything was going to happen this way. I had always felt it in me. I just wish it didn't have to be this way... I didn't want everyone around me to die....

I shook my head and knelt by Sunny's sister. "She was killed by magic," I said softly. My eyes turned dark with fury. "Who do we know that possesses magic?" I growled.

I shook my head and just cried harder. I just wanted this to be a nightmare, to never have happened. I hugged her tighter as I sobbed harder.

I growled deep in my throat. "Cagna รจ morta," I muttered, heading for the exit. I paused on the way out and touched Sunny's cheek gently. "Will you be okay?" She said nothing, but gave me a look of such profound sadness that I stopped in my tracks and sighed. "I'll hunt her down later."

I continued to hug Sorina tightly, trying to soothe her like a mother would to her child. I was very maternal about these kinds of things that's when my real adult like actions come out. I always acted like a child otherwise. I just held her close as we both cried softly. "I love you, Sorina. I wish this didn't have to be this way at all..." I cried softly.
