Name: Dawn Lettiere Gender: Female Species: Vampire Age: Sixteen Relatives: Sorina Lettiere (sister) Personality: Despite being Sorina's adopted sister and best friend, the two girls could not be any more different. Dawn is outgoing and friendly, and well-liked around her school and general community. This she and Sorina share. However, Dawn is also a complete and utter tomboy. She is involved in many sports (primarily soccer), and she's actually stronger, faster, and more talented than many boys who play. She also has a very fiery temper - a single word or look can set her up. At the same time, however, she is practically bipolar - as quick as she gets angry, she seems to grow calm again. Dawn is strange and random, sometimes annoying, and seems to make enemies as fast as she makes friends. Still, she's a very good friend - especially to Sorina, still struggling with demons from her past. She's also an extraordinary funny person; she can make anyone laugh at a moment's notice. She's probably the brightest and most cheerful person you will ever meet, and is either completely oblivious to what her enemies think of her or (more likely) just plain-out doesn't care.
Appearance: Ironically, Dawn somewhat resembles her adoptive sister, Sorina. At the very least, they have the same long blonde hair that cascades down their shoulders in gentle blonde waves. And they have the same color of eyes - a bright green remiscent of the freshness of spring, but blazing with cold fire that reflects back their iron soul. They're both very short. They even share the same smooth, fair skin. But although it may seem like a lot of resemblance, it ends there. Dawn is very stocky - years of sports and a habit of getting into fights with other girls (and even boys) living around her has contributed to a lot of muscle. For this reason, Dawn is physically stronger and faster than the average sixteen-year-old girl.
History: Dawn was born and raised in the small and dangerous city of Amenia - and, just like everyone who grows up in the area, she has a rich and somewhat harsh past. At a young age, she for some reason became obsessed with vampires - she would read about them for hours, even though the people of the paranoid city soon started avoiding her. They called her a freak, said her obsession was unhealthy when she was living in such a place, took her to psychologists, and called her the "Witch Child". Still, Dawn's obsession only increased. At a young age, she was kidnapped by a group of insane witches. They took her to their own deep cave, where they kept her for weeks. Their intention was to perform an experiment on her. They had recently discovered what might be a way to change a normal human into a witch, and Dawn was their test subject. It was clear even to nine-year-old Dawn that the experiment would only work; could only kill her. But at the same time, there were five or six witches there and she had no way of escaping. But just before the experiment that would have killed her, she was rescued - by a vampire. He wore dark clothes and a black hoodie, and worked so fast she had no time to get a look at him. One minute he was killing the witches smoothly and effortlessly, the next swinging the young girl over his shoulder, and before she knew it she was home, her frantic parents obsessing over her. It was a year later that the family accepted damaged Sorina, the exact same age as Dawn. The two girls were best friends as well as adoptive sisters instantly, but they both keep secrets from each other. Sorina continues to hide just how lonely she is behind her mask, and Dawn has told no one that she's still obsessed with the vampire who rescued her. In every bit of free time she has, when her family thinks she's skating or at the movies alone, she's actually hunting him down. Not by going straight to the Agana fields herself (that would be suicide), but by researching him and talking to certain people knowledgable on the history of such things. So far, she's had no luck - but she's vowed to find him someday.
